When Rowen survives her prophesied death and loses her arm, her world changes. The Hands of Seers, who trained her to fulfill her prophecy and save the world, view her as a wildcard and encourage her to retire into a mundane life. But how can she sit by when there are other Chosen Ones, just like her, who are left to fight alone because of an interpretation of dusty book written hundreds of years ago? She must come to terms with the loss of her arm and deconstruct her beliefs about prophesy and destiny if she has any chance of forging the future she desires.
